Vis Island, Split-Dalmatia County, Croatia
A B-24J Liberator heavy bomber that ditched on 17 December 1944 off Vis Island in the Adriatic after sustaining combat damage during a mission to Bosnia — the last B-24 manufactured in Tulsa, Oklahoma (hence 'Tulsamerican'). The main fuselage rests on sand at ~37 m with the tail and propeller separated and at 52 m. Intact — 'as if just landed.' Advanced technical certification + trimix for the deeper sections.
