Banana Reef

Ari Atoll, Maldives

Whale shark are a draw, along with emperor angelfish and broadclub cuttlefish. Hawksbill turtles feed on sponges across the reef slope. Mixed hard and soft coral assemblages cover much of the available substrate. Patient divers may also encounter semicircle angelfish along the reef.
