Bangug Island

Romblon, Luzon

The current concentrates plankton, attracting feeding schools of jacks, barracuda, and fusiliers. Whitetip reef sharks and spotted eagle rays cruise the deeper zones. Key species include flamboyant cuttlefish, mimic octopus, and blue-ringed octopus. Hard coral coverage on the sheltered reef tops remains healthy, with titan triggerfish, Napoleon wrasse, and hawksbill sea turtles in residence.
