Cervera Shoal
Libaong, Panglao Island, Bohol, Philippines
Cervera Shoal — better known as Snake Island or Spaghetti Reef — is a submerged shoal between Panglao and Pamilacan, off Libaong on Panglao’s southeast coast, famous for its resident colony of banded sea kraits. The reef runs from about 8 m down to 35 m and is swept by a strong surface current that eases with depth, so it is usually dived as a drift for certified divers. Alongside the sea snakes, white-eyed and starry morays, nudibranchs and reef fish work the rubble, with the occasional shark or dolphin passing in the blue. Boat access from Panglao.
