Chumphon Pinnacle

Koh Tao, Gulf of Thailand

A granite pinnacle cluster 11 km northwest of Koh Tao, rising from a sand base at 36 m to a shallowest point around 14 m. Smaller satellite pinnacles ring the main stack. Known for large schools of barracuda, bigeye trevally, batfish, chevron barracuda, and seasonal whale shark and bull shark encounters (Mar-May, Aug-Oct). Pink anemone coverage at the top. Boat-only; currents moderate to strong. Advanced Open Water recommended.
