Coral Reef
North Malé Atoll, Kaafu Atoll
Branching acropora thickets provide shelter for clouds of juvenile reef fish. A distinctive coral reef within Kaafu Atoll's northern passage spans depths of 9m to 10m. Eagle rays glide through in small groups, particularly during monsoon transitions. Longfin bannerfish and spotted eagle ray are also frequently encountered here.
