Corsair Plane Wreck

A WWII-era Vought F4U Corsair fighter that ditched off Oahu in 1945 due to fuel exhaustion. Rests upright on sand at 33 m, largely intact, with the tail section detached. Resident garden eels surround the wreck on the open sand; schools of reef fish and occasional eagle rays pass through. Boat entry; currents light to moderate. Advanced Open Water required.
