Dromana Pier Pylons

Dromana, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, Australia

A shallow shore dive off Dromana Pier on Port Phillip Bay, where the pylons of the old jetty lie on sand and seagrass beyond the current pier head. It is a popular training and night dive. Southern fiddler rays, stingrays, goatfish, seahorses, and nudibranchs are regular sightings. Blue-ringed octopus are present, so look without touching, and carry a flag for boat traffic.
