Hin Muang (Purple Rock)

A submerged pinnacle approximately 500 m from Hin Daeng in the Mu Koh Lanta Marine National Park. Named for dense purple soft-coral cover. The pinnacle forms Thailand's highest submerged vertical wall, rising from 70+ m to within 8-10 m of the surface on the shallow side. Cleaning stations for reef mantas (Mobula alfredi) and leopard sharks. Strong currents; Advanced Open Water certification required.
