Horseshoe Reef
La Jolla, San Diego, California, United States
A horseshoe-shaped semicircular rock reef off the La Jolla peninsula, south of Casa Cove — named for its shape. Primarily a boat dive (or a long 'super-swim' from Marine Street beach), it's a shallow 3–9 m macro reef good for rockfish, halibut and sand bass, with leopard sharks gathering in spring and plenty of small colorful critters.
