HP Reef (Rainbow Reef)

North Malé Atoll, Maldives

A marine protected thila between Himmafushi and Girifushi islands on the eastern edge of North Male Atoll — also known as Rainbow Reef and Girifushi Thila. A narrow pinnacle from 12 m to 30+ m carpeted in bright blue, yellow, and orange soft corals, with a signature overhang swim-through. Currents are usually medium-to-strong and bring grey reef sharks, dogtooth tuna, eagle rays, barracuda schools, and dense reef-fish clouds. Advanced certification required.
