Julian Rocks — Anemone Mooring

Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia

The western mooring at Julian Rocks, named for a large anemone on the entry bommie, is the shallowest and calmest access point. Depths 5-15 m over kelp, boulders, and small swim-throughs. Leopard shark encounters are common (Dec-May) and it is the starting dive for most Byron Bay open-water certifications.
