New Caledonia
Larai Point
Tiga Island, Lifou
Tiga Island's western shoreline, where a reef point slopes gradually from 5 to 28 metres. Whitetip reef sharks rest on sandy ledges along the deeper sections. Look for humphead wrasse among the hard coral, clark's anemonefish over sandy patches, and broadclub cuttlefish along deeper contours.
