Mono Lobo

Offshore, east of Point Lobos (Granite Point to Monastery), Carmel, California, United States

A boat or kayak dive to a ledge-and-wall area at the southern end of Carmel Bay, just outside the eastern boundary of Point Lobos State Natural Reserve. Pinnacles peak around 40–50 ft and drop past 100 ft, with nooks holding scallops, cabezon, strawberry anemones, orange sponges, purple/California hydrocoral, and rockfish. Part of the Point Lobos SMR (no-take). Position approximate — pending bathymetry refinement.
