A major pass through the UNESCO-listed New Caledonia barrier reef, SW of Nouméa — the region's signature pelagic drift dive. Depths 10-40+ m with a sculpted drop-off that plunges past 100 m, eagle rays, stingrays, Napoleon wrasse, green turtles, and whitetip reef sharks drifting through the channel. Moderate-to-strong current on outgoing tide; Advanced certification recommended.
