A Kona coast lava reef and sand slope south of Wawaloli Beach, named for ironwood 'pine' trees on shore. Depth 5-18 m. Lava-rock formations, coral heads, swim-throughs, sand patches. Green turtles, octopus, eagle rays. Shore or boat entry; light current. Suitable for Open Water and training.
