Rainbow Reef (Somosomo Strait)
Somosomo Strait, Taveuni, Fiji
A 32-km reef system in the Somosomo Strait between Vanua Levu and Taveuni Islands, Fiji. Includes multiple named dive sites — the Great White Wall (15-20 m top, wall to 65 m, covered in densely packed white Dendronephthya soft corals) is the most-dived. Strong tidal currents deliver plankton supporting Fiji's 'soft coral capital' reputation. Observed species include reef sharks, barracuda, turtles, and diverse reef fish. Most dives are drifts; Advanced certification recommended.
