Shark Bank

Mahé, Seychelles

An underwater granite pinnacle located 8 km northwest of Mahé Island, Seychelles, rising from the surrounding seabed to approximately 30 m. Large granite boulders support soft coral and sponge growth. Observed species include whitetip reef sharks, grey reef sharks, nurse sharks, schools of barracuda and yellow-striped snapper, eagle rays, stingrays, sea turtles, and seasonal whale sharks (October-December). Current typically less than 1 knot. Suitable for Open Water through Advanced divers.
