Stillhouse Hollow Lake is a Corps of Engineers reservoir on the Lampasas River near Belton. Divers enter at Stillhouse Park on the northeast side. A local dive shop runs a network of guide lines there. A training platform sits at about 12 ft (4 m) off the old marina dock. Lines run to an advanced platform at 30 ft (9 m), through a field of sunken objects, to a deep platform near 90 ft (27 m). Dive logs list these parts as separate sites. Visibility is usually 5 to 15 ft. Expect two or three thermoclines on the way deep. Water below about 50 ft is cold and dark. Freshwater drum, white bass, sunfish and catfish are common. The marina was damaged in 2024 and removed. Ask the dive shop which lines and platforms are in place. Boats use the four-lane ramp. Fly a dive flag. Zebra mussels are present. Entry is $5 per vehicle, 6 am to 8 pm.
