The stern section of a 582-ft Norwegian tanker built in 1955, severed in a 1964 collision with the Israeli liner SS Shalom and sunk 18 miles east of Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey. 19 crew members died. The stern rests on its starboard side in 40 m with the shallowest structure at about 20 m. Observed species include tautog, black sea bass, cunner, lobsters, and seasonal schooling baitfish. Advanced certification required.
