Niue
Talava Arches
Hikutavake, Niue
A natural limestone sea-arch formation at Niue's northwest tip near Hikutavake village — reached via a signposted sea track from the Hikutavake parking area. The arches sit on an uplifted coral terrace with the scuba dive entering from the ocean side at 5-18 m along vertical walls riddled with swim-throughs and caves. Niue's water is among the clearest in the world (60+ m viz); resident banded sea kraits (Laticauda) drift into the caves to breathe. Mild conditions; Open Water + cavern briefing.
