The Canyons

Rimatu'u, Tetiaroa

Giant moray eels extend from crevices in the canyon walls, and common lionfish position themselves under overhangs. Staghorn coral thickets provide nursery habitat for juvenile fish across the shallows. Territorial grey reef shark guard patches of reef, painted spiny lobster scour the hard surfaces, and blacktip reef shark cruise overhead.
