Tug Pier
Sand Island, Midway Atoll
A sunken vessel at 12 meters, its steel framework now supporting a thriving artificial reef community. The hull and deck remain structurally sound, accessible for penetration and hosting encrusting organisms. Hawaiian monk seal play around the structure while spinner dolphin and giant trevally work the edges and deeper contours of the site.
