Yellowbanks Anchorage
Santa Cruz Island, Channel Islands National Park, California, United States
A sheltered east-side anchorage on Santa Cruz Island named for the yellow sandstone bluffs above — protected from NW swell and a reliable calm-water dive when everywhere else is blown out. Shallow kelp reef 5-18 m with moray eels, bat rays, resident sea lions, and large sheephead. Commonly paired with Diablo Anchorage and Flame Reef on east-end charters.
