Steep underwater walls drop to 40 meters, their faces carved with ledges and crevices that shelter fish and invertebrates at every depth band across the formation. Among the inhabitants: broad-nosed pipefish, John Dory, and dusky grouper. Current flow concentrates plankton and attracts feeding fish to exposed edges.
