Ardea herodias

Ardea herodias, commonly known as the great blue heron, is a large wading bird in the heron family (Ardeidae), found near open water and wetlands across most of North and Central America, as well as parts of South America and the Caribbean. This species is occasionally seen in Europe and includes an all-white population known as the great white heron.
