Palaemon debilis
Feeble Shrimp, scientifically known as Palaemon debilis, belong to the family Palaemonidae and are part of the order Decapoda. These shrimp are typically found in tropical regions of the Indo-Pacific, residing in shallow waters with a depth range of 0 to 16 meters. They prefer habitats with muddy sand, where they can easily blend in with their surroundings. This species is benthic and can often be found in brackish environments. The Feeble Shrimp's reproductive behavior includes a precopulatory courtship ritual, which involves both olfactory and tactile cues. Mating is usually characterized by indirect sperm transfer, a common trait among members of the order Decapoda.
