Urogymnus asperrimus, commonly known as the Porcupine Ray, is a rare stingray species found in the Northwest Australian Shelf, Western Indian Ocean, Sahul Shelf, Northeast Australian Shelf, and Sunda Shelf. This bottom-dweller inhabits inshore waters and can reach widths of up to 1.5 meters.
