Bully Hayes Wreck

Kosrae, Federated States of Micronesia

The remains of his vessel — iron frames, ballast stones, and scattered artifacts — lie at 10 to 18 meters off Kosrae's southeastern coast, heavily integrated into the reef structure after over a century underwater. Territorial red lionfish guard patches of reef, broadclub cuttlefish scour the hard surfaces, and moorish idol cruise overhead.
