Apo Island, Negros Oriental, Philippines

An easy coral reef on the western side of Apo Island, near the village and Chapel Point, that makes a good training and check-out dive. A gentle slope scattered with coral bommies steepens into a wall broken by nooks, crevices, overhangs and small caverns, all under generally little or no current. Cowries, nudibranchs and other macro reward a slow search, while turtles and sea snakes are regular along the reef. Dived under the Apo Island Marine Reserve's sanctuary rules.
