Apo Island, Negros Oriental, Philippines

A relaxed coral dive on the western coast of Apo Island, at the upper end of the continuous shelf that runs down toward Rock Point West. A slope of soft and hard corals leads to a reef plateau of mushroom, plate and branching corals with sandy patches and a small soft-coral wall. Generally easy and beginner-friendly, it is the calm western neighbor of the current-swept Coconut Point at the northern tip. Dived under the Apo Island Marine Reserve's sanctuary rules.
