Kwajalein Airplane Graveyard
Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands
More than 100 American WWII aircraft dumped in the lagoon at war's end, resting at 6-12 meters depth. Seven aircraft types including Dauntless dive bombers, Mitchell bombers, Avenger torpedo bombers, Wildcat and Corsair fighters, Helldiver dive bombers, and C-46 transports create one of the world's most unique aviation archaeology sites, though access is extremely restricted due to the US military base.
