Plate corals form stacked terraces along the reef slope. Hawksbill turtles feed on sponges across the reef slope. Cleaner wrasse is reliably found in this area. Broadclub cuttlefish and common lionfish are also present throughout much of the year. The dry season offers calmer seas and better access to exposed outer reef sites.
