A shallow shore wreck dive entered at the Spanish Bay parking lot on 17-Mile Drive, Pacific Grove. Two historic wrecks lie off Moss Beach/Asilomar: the CG 256 (a Prohibition-era Coast Guard patrol vessel lost in 1933) and the Roderick Dhu (an iron barque later converted to an oil barge, wrecked 1909). Wreckage sits close to shore in 20–30 ft, with reef out to 50–60 ft. Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary.
