Puntod Island, Panglao, Bohol, Philippines

A wall-and-coral-garden dive off the southwest side of Puntod Island, a small island near Panglao reached by about a 35-minute boat ride from Alona Beach. A shallow coral garden from roughly 2 m slopes down to around 20 m before the reef drops as a wall to about 45 m, with caves and crevices along the face. Strong for macro — nudibranchs, frogfish and scorpionfish — with turtles common and the occasional shark or dolphin passing in the blue.
