Shark & Yolanda Reef

Twin submerged pinnacles at the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula within Ras Mohammed National Park, Egypt. Shark Reef is a vertical wall descending past 700 m; Yolanda Reef is a coral-covered plateau at 15-20 m with debris from the MV Yolanda (sunk 1985). Observed species include schooling barracuda, giant trevally, batfish, seasonal scalloped hammerheads (summer), and reef sharks. Advanced Open Water recommended due to current.
