SMS Cormoran
Apra Harbor, Guam
A German WWI armed merchant cruiser (SMS Cormoran II) scuttled by Captain Adalbert Zuckschwerdt in Apra Harbor on 7 April 1917 rather than surrender to the US as America entered WWI. The 115 m hull lies at 12-34 m depth and is intact. The Cormoran touches the nearby Tokai Maru (WWII) wreck in Apra Harbor, and divers can touch a WWI and WWII wreck on a single dive. Advanced certification recommended for the deeper sections.
