The Arch

Batemans Bay, New South Wales

The arch's underside is encrusted with jewel anemones whose iridescent colours glow when illuminated by torch, and the surrounding rock supports dense sponge growth in the full spectrum of temperate reef colours. Weedy seadragon rest among the coral, bull ray forage across the reef, and smooth stingray hunt along the edges.
