Tracey's Bommie (Flynn Reef)
Flynn Reef, Great Barrier Reef, Queensland, Australia
Flynn Reef's most iconic single dive site — a massive coral bommie rising from 30 m to 3 m below the surface, essentially a vertical island of coral life. Circled by schools of barracuda, batfish, and Spanish mackerel, with a resident Maori wrasse who approaches divers. Currents push around the bommie, creating both gentle and strong sides. Suitable for all levels on the sheltered side; Advanced certification for the outer wall.
