Galápagos Islands
Elephant Head (Wolf Island)
Wolf Island, Galápagos, Ecuador
The elephant-shaped rocky outcrop at the NW tip of Wolf Island — one of the two premier Galápagos-liveaboard dive sites alongside Darwin's Arch. Schools of hundreds of scalloped hammerheads patrol the blue, Galápagos sharks cruise the ledges, and whale sharks pass July-November. Depths 10-35 m along a rocky wall with strong currents. Advanced certification and liveaboard itinerary required.
