El Mina Wreck

Red Sea, Egypt

A 60 m Egyptian minesweeper that served in the 1950s and was sunk just off Hurghada harbour in 1969 as an artificial reef — now one of the easiest wreck dives in the region and a classic training/passport-stamp dive. Rests upright in 12-32 m of water, the hull heavily encrusted in soft coral and home to glassfish, lionfish, and groupers. Penetration is possible through the bridge area (no overhead environment concerns). Protected location means it's diveable in most weather; suitable for all Open Water certified divers.
