Gull Rocks

Otago, South Island

Walls plunge to over twenty-five metres, covered in sponges, bryozoans, and patches of jewel anemones. Gull Rocks rise from the seafloor about half a kilometre offshore from the southern Otago Peninsula. Resident blue cod share the habitat with spotty wrasse, and elephant fish appear along the reef margins.
