The underwater terrain consists of boulders and bedrock ledges extending from the shore to fifteen metres, influenced by the harbour's tidal flow. Rock lobster occupy crevices throughout. Spotty wrasse wedge into coral gaps, red moki pick through rubble zones, and kina sea urchin command the open water above.
