New Zealand
North Taieri Reef
Otago, South Island
At this site the reef here consists of broad flat-topped ledges separated by sandy channels, creating a terraced effect from eight to twenty metres depth. Rock lobster are present in good numbers under the ledge overhangs. Resident elephant fish and Jason mirabilis nudibranch occupy the reef, with New Zealand fur seal passing through regularly.
