The reef structure features large boulders and rocky ridges descending from 6 metres to around 22 metres on sand. Yellowtail kingfish hunt along the reef edges, and grey nurse sharks occasionally pass through the deeper channels. Schools of Port Jackson shark share the water column with spotted wobbegong, and smooth stingray patrol the perimeter.
