Main Wall
La Jolla Submarine Canyon, San Diego, California, United States
The most-dived wall of the La Jolla Submarine Canyon, reached from the Vallecitos Street entry at La Jolla Shores after a surface swim over the sand. Divable from about 15 m and dropping deeper along the clay face, it is rich in invertebrate and fish life — rockfish, painted greenlings, Spanish shawl and hooded nudibranchs, sheep crabs, halibut, bat rays and the occasional giant sea bass. Within the San Diego–La Jolla Ecological Reserve (no take).
