Nudibranch City
Poor Knights Islands, Northland
The reef slopes from five to eighteen metres, with nearly every surface covered in the hydroids, sponges, and bryozoans that provide food and substrate for nudibranchs. Sandager's wrasse weave among coral heads, leatherjacket hold station in the lee, and butterfish approach from open water.
