Malayan Wall
North Atoll, Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park, Sulu Sea, Philippines
An advanced wall dive on the southwest edge of Tubbataha's North Atoll, named for the small wreck that settled here around the late 1970s. The wreck is a quiet spot for macro, but most divers drift the adjoining drop-off and hang over the blue watching for whitetip, grey reef and nurse sharks, African pompano, great barracuda and red snapper. The real draw is the chance of a hammerhead school passing offshore. Liveaboard only; moderate to strong current; Advanced Open Water required.
